Kentucky Terrorism
Response and Preparedness

Q. I just completed this course, took the final exam and clicked on the button to generate my certificate of completion. At that point, my computer died. Is there any way to obtain the certificate without taking the course again?
A. There is a good chance your certificate was created. Go to the CERTIFICATES menu and enter your last name with the last four social security numbers. If you receive an error, then go to the CONTACT US menu and send me an email. If your computer tries to download the file, then you probably do not have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.

Q. Do I have to view and print the certificate from the same computer?
A. No, you may view and print your certificate from any computer with Internet access, the free Adobe Acrobat Reader (www.adobe.com) and a printer.

Q. When I begin the course I start off with a totally black screen. What's happening?
A. Fortunately this infrequently occurs. It may be due to a couple of possibilities.
1. There might be a firewall set up on your end which is preventing you from accessing the site.
2. You may have limited rights to change your computer settings.
3. You may have a very old version of the free Macromedia Flash Player installed.
In any of these cases, you should first contact your network administrator (if you have one). Otherwise, click on "Contact Us" and give a detailed explanation for additional support.

Q. When I try to access a course, the screen says the page is unavailable.
A. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) offers a Web Accelerator, turn this feature off.
