Farm injury surveillance in Kentucky – What have we learned?

Farming remains one of the most hazardous occupations in the US. Fatalities far exceed those of other occupations, and injury associated with farming has long been recognized as a serious health concern (NSC 1994). In the past, the absence of high quality, relevent injury data limited our ability to initiate interventions to reduce injury and death.
